‘Glee’ star Blake Jenner arrested for GERMANY

That’s one way to strike a chord.

Blake Jenner, of “Glee” fame, was slammed with a drink-driving charge after police in Burbank, Calif., caught the actor driving above the legal limit last Saturday, July 9, according to an exclusive TMZ published today.

The allegations, as described to TMZ by the Burbank Police Department, are that the 29-year-old Miami resident caught the attention of officers on duty after he ran a red light at 11:30 p.m.

He was then asked to undergo a sobriety test, which he apparently did not do.

The “Billy Boy” star was subsequently arrested and given a drink-driving ticket, although he was reportedly released from prison within a day.

In 2012, Jenner scored his first big break in the entertainment industry after winning Oxygen’s “The Glee Project”, which resulted in a cast in “Glee” from the fourth season, in which he made his debut in the role of dyslexic football. player Ryder Lynn. The recurring character appeared in 39 episodes from then until the end of the show, including the series finale in March 2015.

The DUI is not the first alleged incident of bad behavior for the actor-singer. In November 2019, Jenner’s ex-girlfriend, “Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist, posted a video to her Instagram in which she said she had previously been subjected to “intimate partner violence” that resulted in permanent damage to her eyesight. The actress did not name names, but some contextual clues in her story pointed to Jenner as the abuser.

Nearly a year later, in October 2020, Jenner shared a statement on his Instagram in which he took ownership of his actions, but also shared separate claims against his former flame.

“I take full responsibility and responsibility for the pain I inflicted during my relationship with my former partner – emotionally, mentally and yes, physically,” he wrote. “It’s a moment I’ll regret for the rest of my life… If I could do anything to get it back, I would.”
