Oscar-nominated actor James Caan died Wednesday evening at the age of 82.
His family announced the news of the death of the ‘Godfather’ star on Thursday.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you on the evening of July 6 of Jimmy’s passing,” Caan said in a statement.
“The family appreciates the outpouring of love and heartfelt condolences and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
A cause of death has not been announced.
