Katharine McPhee wears ‘perfect’ dress for date with David Foster

Baptized for a date night!

After a “case of the mondaze”, Katharine McPhee donned the “perfect little evening dress” for a night out with her husband, David Foster.

The “Country Comfort” star, 38, posed for multiple mirror selfies via Instagram Stories and showed off her blue and white striped Veronica Beard number ($498).

“At least I put some makeup on,” she wrote, rocking the ruffled linen dress.

“@davidfoster is coming,” added the “American Idol” alongside a car emoji before documenting the 72-year-old composer’s arrival.

When Foster saw the singer filming him from their backyard, he asked, “Am I in the picture?”

McPhee replied, “Honey, I’m home” before calling him the “cutest.”

“I’m home from the club, Lucy,” joked Foster, posing as Desi Arnaz’s Ricky Ricardo character from “I Love Lucy.”

The couple’s date night came almost a month after McPhee made headlines for posting PDA photos with the Grammy winner.

“Poor dude,” the “Open Toes” singer wrote on July Instagram photos of herself kissing and hugging her partner in a mini dress. “Too bad he doesn’t get much attention.”

The record producer’s daughter, Erin Foster, jokingly noted that she was “reporting” the upload on social media at the time.

David is also the father of four other children from previous relationships – Allison, 52, Amy, 49, Sara, 41, and Jordan, 39. In February 2021, he and McPhee welcomed their first baby together, a now 1-year-old son named Rennie.

The little one appears to be following in his parents’ musical footsteps, with the “Smash” alum sharing Instagram videos of Rennie trying a piano and electric drum kit last week.

Demonstrating the toddler’s singing skills on Friday, McPhee wrote, “I think just music to my ears.”
