Kanye West called Gigi Hadid a “privileged Karen” amid their struggles on social media.
The rapper posted a screenshot of an Instagram comment the model made on Thursday, in which he claimed that West did not treat the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh “like a friend.”
Hadid went on to write that Abloh “beloved” Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who slammed West earlier this week.
“I won’t be run over by Hollywood again,” the Grammy winner wrote in capital letters on the upload. “Gigi, you are a privileged Karen.
“You were born with a silver spoon in you” [sic] mouth,” the 45-year-old songwriter continued. “You’re a zombie. You speak here, but did not speak when my child was abducted on her birthday.’
West’s conclusion referenced previous comments he made via social media about not being invited to his and Kim Kardashian’s 4-year-old daughter Chicago’s birthday party in January — which Kim and more of her family members have denied.
While Hadid, 27, hasn’t commented on West’s latest diss yet, she and the Yeezy designer have been going back and forth with the app all week.
After Karefa-Johnson criticized West for wearing widely condemned “White Lives Matter” shirts at his Milan Fashion Week show on Monday, West criticized the journalist’s fashion sense — and Hadid clapped back.
“You wish you had a percentage of her intellect,” the creator of Guest in Residence wrote on Tuesday. “You have no idea haha… If there’s really a point to one of your s–ts, she might be the only person who can save you.”
She called him a ‘bully’ and a ‘joke’, adding, ‘As if the ‘honour’ of being invited to your show should stop anyone from speaking their mind…? LOL.”
Although West later called Karefa-Johnson his “sister” and said they had lunch, Hadid corrected him for calling her “Gabby” and “Gabrielle”.
She commented, “It’s Gabriella*.”
West continued to berate Hadid and cut her out of an Instagram Story photo with her sister, Bella Hadid.
The musician also posted a since-deleted photo on his feed of Bella, 25, who was photoshopping “White Lives Matter” onto the model’s viral spray-on dress from the Coperni show.
Gigi isn’t the only celebrity that West has lashed out at in his latest Instagram posts, with Hailey Bieber and John Legend also recently being criticized by the record producer.
