JoJo Siwa describes her “rough experience” with Candace Cameron Bure after calling the “Full House” alum the “rudest celebrity” she’s met in a viral TikTok video.
“You know, I had a tough experience when I was a kid,” Siwa, 19, said Tuesday in a video obtained exclusively by Vidak For Congress. “I was 11, and I was a big fan, and I wanted a picture with her, and it wasn’t a good time for her.”
But the YouTuber noted that while the interaction wasn’t great, it didn’t reflect Cameron Bure’s character.
“I’ll say just because I had a bad experience doesn’t mean she’s a terrible person,” Siwa said. “I think it was just an awkward time for her, and the little 11-year-old me was just so pumped up and so excited, but that doesn’t mean she’s the worst human being ever.”
The former “Dance Moms” star added, “It was just, you know, it was a tough experience for me.”
Siwa’s unlikely feud with the former “Fuller House” star, 46, started when she shared a TikTok video on Sunday that referred to Cameron Bure as the “rudest celebrity” she’s ever met.
Initially, Cameron Bure seemingly responded by posting a cryptic Bible verse to her Instagram story.
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock,” read the quote she posted from Isaiah 26:4.
The actress’ 23-year-old daughter, Natasha, also took to social media amid the drama to call her mother the “coolest.”
Cameron Bure finally spoke directly about the incident on Tuesday — and even apologized to Siwa. She explained that as a mother she felt even worse because she probably hurt Siwa’s mother’s feelings at the time.
Cameron Bure also expressed how powerful and harmful words can be, saying, “Even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do harm because our words matter and our actions matter.”
Tori Spelling has since praised Cameron Bure for saying sorry to Siwa, calling the apology an “inspiration.”
“You are officially my spirit animal!” the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum, 49, responded to her friend’s apology video on Instagram. “So aptly said. I sit here crying watching this video. Rings sooooo true. You are truly an inspiration! Love you. Xo.”
Meanwhile, Bob Saget’s widow, Cameron Bure’s widow, called the late “Full House” the ordeal “crazy.”
