Harry Styles’ luscious locks caused a hairy situation on the set of “Don’t Worry Darling”.
His character, Jack, undergoes an ugly make-under in the new film, which posed a problem for hair department head Jaime Leigh McIntosh.
“I wanted to make it lanky and lifeless,” McIntosh told Variety.
‘I could not do it. Harry’s hair is just so full of volume.”
When even a flat iron failed to make Styles’ locks look less than at their best, McIntosh resorted to having a “long and messy” wig made.
Styles’ shocking transformation — which also included acne scars created with special-effects makeup — took McIntosh and makeup master Heba Thorisdottir two hours to accomplish.
“It was about finding that balance and a fine line to push him in a different direction, but not that far,” McIntosh said.
The news that Styles’ hair is indeed perfect should comfort fans amid rumors that the star is actually going bald.
TikTok went wild with conspiracy theories about #baldharry, with some debate about whether he wears a toupee.
The murmurs began after celebrity Deuxmoi’s Instagram account posted a blind entry that read, “This A-list musician/occasional actor has a dirty little secret… He’s almost gone bald. His hairpiece is so lifelike that only a good eye can see it, and that is on a bad day.”
According to the item, the celebrity in question “doesn’t take it off and doesn’t clean it enough.”
Sadly, the “Watermelon Sugar” lead singer debunked the rumors himself in his “Rolling Stone” interview in August, earning a sequel titled “The Truth About Harry Styles’ Hairline.”
“What’s with baldness? … It skips a generation or something, right? If your grandfather is bald, are you bald? Well, my grandpa wasn’t bald, so I’m rooting for you,” Styles said.
Don’t worry, honey: the movie may be out, but the drama will never end.
