Shein by Sheree?
The second arrival of Shereé Whitfield’s She by Shereé clothing line has been marred by comparisons to the fast-fashion brand.
Social media users slammed the 52-year-old “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star for selling a $130 gray two-piece athleisure set that looks nearly identical to versions sold at lower prices by Shein and Amazon.
“No, you are wrong about these Shein joggers and charging NIKE prices,” one person tweeted.
“Ummm if you can buy it from Amazon without the She by Sheree logo for a third of the price, then I’ve got a problem. #RHOA,” another added.
One fan even reprimanded Whitfield for providing such a product after working on it for over a decade.
“So after more than 10 years of no fashion, you just put your name in a Jeffree Star logo that looks similar, printed it in an Ali Express/Shein garment, and it charged $130?!” they tweeted.
“Gurl How awful! We were rooting for your smh. She at Sheree? More [like] She by Shein Express wtf?! You know what #RHOA.”
In Sunday night’s “RHOA” finale, Whitfield held a She by Shereé fashion show — 14 years after a lackluster presentation that her close friend Dwight Eubanks infamously called a “no-fashion fashion show” that was “awful.”
Whitfield’s castmates were thrilled to see She from Shereé come true after a series of setbacks documented in season 14 of the hit reality show Bravo.
After going live with her merchandise on Sunday, the designer claimed She by Shereé’s website crashed due to “overwhelming interest” and an “influx of love.”
Whitfield assured fans that “the issue was being worked on” and urged them to come back regularly.
“We are working to resolve this quickly,” she wrote in a statement. “We want to serve you quickly. Thank you for your interest. Thanks to the customers we have been able to serve so far tonight.”
As of Monday afternoon, the site is still unreachable.
Meanwhile, Whitfield’s boss, “Housewives” honcho Andy Cohen, was able to get his hands on a gray She by Shereé hoodie. “I have mine….” he endorsed a selfie in mirror image on Twitter. “#ShebySheree @IamSheree.”
Whitfield did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress Style’s request for comment.
