‘Love Is Blind’ Stars Kyle Abrams, Deepti Vempati Break Up

Well, that was fast.

“Love Is Blind” stars Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati have announced their split – just days after their romance was confirmed on the hit Netflix reality TV franchise.

“I understand that many of you are curious about where Deepti and I are today,” Abrams wrote in an Instagram post on Monday.

“Since After the Alter was filmed, we decided at the beginning of the summer to go our separate ways. Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey through difficult vulnerability and supported us along the way.”

He then revealed that he has “since started a new relationship that I plan to keep private for a while.”

“What the future holds, I have no idea. In the future, I plan to live every day in the present without any regrets.”

Abrams, 30, and Vempati, 31, decided to take their relationship to the next level when the cameras rolled for “Love Is Blind: After the Altar” season 2.

“I just want to start a relationship — like a legitimate relationship with you,” Abrams told Vempati, adding that he wanted to “be exclusive” rather than “just, like, in limbo.”

“Are we really going to try this?” she asked him as the duo chatted on a balcony.

“Yeah, sure,” Abrams replied. “I want.”

Abrams recently admitted to People that he was afraid to take such a leap because he didn’t want to spoil his friendship with Vempati.

“I put so much pressure on myself because I thought, ‘I don’t want this to fail.’ I was hesitant to jump in because she was my best friend,” the construction worker told the outlet.

“And if it doesn’t work out, you lose the friendship a little bit. Because if you break up for whatever reason – and I didn’t plan to break up – but you always have to think about what happens next.”

Abrams, who was previously engaged to “Love Is Blind” co-star Shaina Hurley, said the boyfriend-girlfriend label didn’t change his dynamic with Vempati in any way.

“After that it was like nothing really changed because I felt like we were already dating,” he explained.

“We saw each other almost every day. We spent hours together. We did everything together. She’d even met my family, so it wasn’t weird or anything.”

Meanwhile, Vempati – who nearly married Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee – has never publicly acknowledged her romance with Abrams outside of the “After the Altar.”

At the “Love Is Blind” reunion in March, Abrams told hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey that he was “sorry” he didn’t propose to Vempati.

“I should have tried harder for [Vempati]’ he said of the information data analyst. “I love her so much, she’s the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that’s my biggest regret. My apologies.”

Vempati later told New York Magazine that their connection didn’t “came out of the blue,” elaborating, “We have this fundamental bond.”

Speculation of a serious relationship kicked off this spring when the couple was spotted looking cozy while spending time together in Chicago.
