Kelly Osbourne Loses 10 Pounds After Gestational Diabetes Diagnosis

Kelly Osbourne has lost 10 pounds since being diagnosed with gestational diabetes in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

The “Osbournes” alum told People in an interview published Thursday that she initially thought she had “done something wrong” when she noted her rapid weight gain, unusual fatigue and ankle swelling.

After the 37-year-old actress was diagnosed with the condition, in which a pregnant person’s body cannot produce enough insulin, the star-to-be decided to cut sugar from her diet.

“I didn’t eat well [before]’, the “Fashion Police” alum explained to the outlet, noting that her only craving was sugary juice.

Since changing her eating habits, Osbourne has lost 10 pounds and cleared her skin.

“I haven’t had to wear compression socks once since I cut the sugar out, which is unreal for a pregnancy,” added the former reality star. “I just have more energy. I sleep better.

“You don’t realize what it does to you until you take it away, that’s all I can say,” she continued.

The new report contradicts what the Good American co-founder claimed…

Osbourne called her pregnancy the perfect “stimulus” to make such a drastic change.

“I’ve never been able to stick to something one hundred percent the way I did this because I’m not doing it for myself,” she explained. “I’m doing it for my baby.”

Osbourne revealed in May that she is expecting her and Sid Wilson’s first child, pushing her Instagram followers about how “ecstatic” she is.

Carrying the little one was the “roughest, weirdest, wildest” experience, Osbourne told Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield Norris on Wednesday’s episode “Red Table Talk.”

Osbourne noted that she has no plans to breastfeed her upcoming arrival as she wants to continue taking her medication.

“The verdict I have received from my friends and extended family too [is wild]’, she said, adding that she ‘cannot pay attention’ to negative comments because her choice is ‘the best’ for her family.
