Kanye West not charged for allegedly hitting a fan

Kanye West faces no criminal charges after being charged with hitting a fan earlier this year, Vidak For Congress can confirm.

A spokesperson for the LA City Attorney’s Office told us on Tuesday, “With regard to the Kanye West incident that occurred on January 13, 2022, after a thorough and careful review of all evidence, our office is refusing to file a file based on no reasonable probability of conviction.”

West, 45, was under investigation for battery after allegedly arguing with a fan, who asked for his autograph, and the altercation reportedly turned physical.

Hours later, video leaked out of the immediate moments after the incident. The footage, obtained by TMZ, showed Yeezy’s CEO yelling at a woman while an unidentified man lay on the floor.

West could be heard in the clip yelling at the female staffer, “Get away from me,” as she tried to calm him down, saying, “Give me your hand.”

“No, get away from me!” he then reacted furiously. “There are no hands, there are no hands.”

Vidak For Congress learned shortly afterwards that the alleged victim had tried to get West’s autograph on two separate occasions.

An insider told us that the unidentified man first asked the “Jesus Walks” rapper for an autograph outside Craig’s in LA and again two days later outside LA hotspot Delilah.

Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that police were reviewing paparazzi videos and witness statements as part of their investigation.

The case was investigated as a felony battery, which carries a maximum jail term of six months.

Representatives for West did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment on the LA City Attorney’s Office decision.
