JoJo Siwa claimed Candace Cameron Bure “didn’t share all the details of the meeting” after confirming that the actress called her after their recent feud made headlines.
“We spoke on the phone. She shared that in her [Instagram video]Siwa, 19, said in an exclusive video obtained by Vidak For Congress on Thursday, expanding on the explanation Cameron Bure gave to her Instagram followers on Tuesday.
“It was at the after party that she didn’t want to be in a picture with me, and I was okay with that,” said the “Dance Moms” alum.
“But then I turned around and when I looked back, she was taking pictures with other kids.”
Siwa said that was the part that “really, really upset” her, calling it “one of those memories” that “stayed with her forever.”
“When you’re little and someone says something to you, and you never forget it as long as you live — I think we’ve all had that moment — and I feel like this was that moment for me,” she explained. .
Despite some residual feelings of what Siwa previously described as a “rough experience,” she acknowledged that “it was a positive conversation” with Cameron Bure.
“We had a conversation of about 10 minutes and it was sweet,” she said. “She apologized and we talked. It was cool. It was fun.”
Over the weekend, Siwa posted a TikTok video in which she answered the solicited “rudest celebrity I’ve ever met” question with a photo of the 46-year-old “Full House” star.
The reveal went viral and despite the media frenzy that followed, it seems Siwa has no regrets.
“I was honest, and that’s something I’ve always done and always will,” she said on Thursday.
During Cameron Bure’s apology video, which was preceded by a cryptic Bible verse on her Instagram story, the actress told her followers that she reached out to Siwa to get to the bottom of the dancer’s “rude” claim.
The Hallmark star said she heard she turned down Siwa when the then-preteen YouTuber asked her for a photo at the 2016 premiere of “Fuller House.”
Cameron Bure said she told Siwa, “Not now,” and then went on to take pictures with other people. However, the actress did not specify that those people were children and also seemed to remember interacting on the red carpet, where a celebrity would understandably be busier.
Cameron Bure – whose 23-year-old daughter, Natasha, has now twice come to her mother’s defense amid the scandal – said she felt “bad” when she heard the story, but worse because she probably felt the feelings of Siwa’s mother was hurt in the process.
Confirming this was the case, Siwa said on Thursday that her mother told “exactly” the same story on a podcast about two years ago.
“We only discovered that yesterday,” she said.
In the middle of her interview, which took place at a gas station while the former Nickelodeon star was filling her tank, two young fans approached her and ironically asked if they could have their picture taken with her.
“Absolutely, we can! Of course,’ Siwa replied enthusiastically, asking for the names of the little girls and complimenting one of their shirts. “Let’s do it!”
Siwa huddled behind the girls and hugged them while smiling for a few seconds. She thanked them before returning to her car and driving away.
