Jessie James Decker Reveals Eric's Reaction to Her 'DWTS' Body Paint 1

Jessie James Decker’s husband Eric Decker was a huge fan of her sexy Bond Girl look for Monday’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

The country singer was covered from head to toe in gold body paint for the James Bond-themed episode and received a glowing review from her retired NFL star husband.

“He is familiar with this surprise. Oh, sure,” Jessie, 34, told Vidak For Congress exclusively in the ballroom. “I was facetiming him [earlier]. He was so excited about it.”

The “Should Have Known Better” lead singer added that Eric, 35, was “ecstatic” for fans to see the surprising look during “Bond Night,” which he described as “spicy.”

“He said, ‘Carry it home!'” Jessie recalls, laughing. “I’m like, ‘No! I want this off me!’”

Jessie’s look is inspired by the iconic gold-painted body of actress Shirley Eaton – created at the time by makeup artist Paul Rabiger – for the 1964 Bond film “Goldfinger” starring Sean Connery. The fashion designer told us it was a real commitment on show day, both for herself and the “DWTS” hair and makeup team.

“Honestly, it took a few hours. For example, I didn’t get to see any of the other performances,” she explained, noting that it took three people to perform it perfectly.

The Kittenish founder’s pro partner Alan Bersten also weighed in, telling Vidak For Congress: “What they did was really special. She walked downstairs and – if you noticed – she wasn’t golden at first. During the live show they were painting her [backstage].”

Bersten, 28, added: “They wanted it to be a nice little surprise, and I think it worked.”

While Eric hoped to see the look in person, Jessie admitted she couldn’t wait to take a shower — so she could have a fresh face for her red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Nashville later that night.

“Looking forward to washing this off,” she said. ‘It’s a paint, but it’s also a kind of seal. I don’t know how to describe it. But they literally had to remove all the moisture in my skin so that it would stick, so I feel like my skin is dehydrated.”

The unique get-up was created for Jessie and Bersten’s rumba on “Goldfinger” by Shirley Bassey, for which they received an overall score of 26/40 from judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

“I think Jessie did so well,” said Bersten. “I do believe this was her best dance.”

On last week’s Elvis Presley-themed episode of “DWTS,” Eric sat in the audience with their 4-year-old son Forrest, who was beautifully dressed as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

“He was just proud. I mean, he’s 4 so he’s small, but he’s just proud of mom,” Jessie told Vidak For Congress via Zoom after the show. “And he’s such a huge Elvis fan, So tonight meant so much to him.”

Jessie and Eric tied the knot in June 2013. In addition to Forrest, the “Eric & Jessie: Game On” alums are also parents to daughter Vivianne (8) and son Eric Decker II (7).

“Dancing With the Stars” returns for “Disney+ Night” next Monday at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
