Only Jennifer Lopez can be a showstopper when she’s not even on the show.
The superstar — who is set to remarry Ben Affleck on Saturday — caused a stir, we’re told, when she arrived 20 minutes late for a Broadway performance of “Into the Woods.”
The “Jenny from the Block” diva arrived with kids (a “mix of her own and Affleck’s,” according to one spy) in tow, decked out head to toe in “eye-catching” pink and purple sequins.
“The whole audience turned to look,” a fellow audience member told Vidak For Congress, adding, “Well, everyone except Patti LuPone [seated three rows in front]who militant seemed unimpressed by the spectacle.”
The source says that despite her slowness, Lopez was swept up in the show.
She “continued to dance in her chair – even to ballads, and applaud loudly with her hands above her head.”
After the show, she and her brood were led through security to a waiting Sprinter bus.
Before she left, she jumped out of the van’s door and blew kisses to the crowd of fans.
Other A-listers spotted on “Into the Woods” in recent weeks include Hillary Clinton, Nathan Lane, Jason Mraz, Tim Federle, Beanie Feldstein, Rachel Brosnahan and Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, who loved the show they then sent flowers to the company.
As Vidak For Congress reported, Lopez and Ben Affleck are celebrating a huge, smashing wedding this weekend, a month after they tied the knot in Las Vegas.
The three-day “intimate party for family and friends” is expected to begin with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, the ceremony on Saturday, and a BBQ and picnic on Sunday.
