Jamie Lynn Spears’ 14-year-old daughter, Maddie, is officially a high school student.
31-year-old “Zoey 101” documented the first day of her oldest child’s first year in an Instagram slideshow on Monday.
“Anddd just like that, my baby is in high school👩🏼🏫📚✏️😭,” she told her 2.2 million followers.
“Time literally flies by… don’t take a second of it for granted,” concludes Spears, who is also the mother of 4-year-old daughter Ivey.
Maddie grinned in her uniform, black T-shirt and tan skirt, in the social media upload, posing with a friend.
In the final slide, Spears included a throwback photo of a much younger Maddie posing with a backpack on.
The former Nickelodeon star shared the same photo via her Instagram stories, asking, “How’s this girl in high school now?????”
Spears expressed the same disbelief when Maddie graduated from high school in May.
“High school student🎓📚👩🏼🏫✏️. (🤯🙎🏼♀️💔🥺😭),” she wrote alongside family photos taken during the ceremony.
Earlier that same month, the “Sweet Magnolias” star praised her teenage daughter’s academic and athletic achievements, writing on Instagram: “I have to do a quick proud parent post for my four athletic athletes who also had a 4.0 GPA all year. So proud of her. work ethic.”
Spears welcomed Maddie in June 2008 with her then-fiance, Casey Aldridge. After their breakup, she married Jamie Watson in March 2014. Ivey was born four years later.
While celebrating her and Watson’s eighth anniversary via Instagram earlier this year, the country singer thanked the businessman for bringing “consistency and stability” into her life.
“I was an 18-year-old single mother when… [I met] this man,” she wrote in March. “Maybe it was just because he was 10 years older and had already built a successful life for himself, both personally and professionally, but nevertheless, I felt a sense of peace with him, and I think that’s what being in love is all about, just in feel peace.”
Spears jokingly concluded that she is “lucky” to have her husband – even on the days when she “has” him.
