Joe and Melissa Gorga “have no plans” to leave “Real Housewives of New Jersey” amid their feud with Teresa Giudice.
Melissa took to Instagram to clarify where she and her husband stand after comments on her podcast earlier Thursday led fans to believe they were quitting the Bravo series.
“People are taking bits of my podcast and assuming I’m leaving the show,” she began her Story statement. “’This is how rumors start.’ [blushing emoji] I never said I was going to leave the show. I was just clarifying how we were feeling after a difficult weekend.
“We have no plans to leave. #RHONJ.”
The Bravolebrities said in their podcast that they skipped Teresa and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding last weekend after their longstanding feud became “too toxic” to bear.
“Sometimes when things are too toxic and you try it over and over and it just keeps coming back to the same thing… even if it’s family, you have to let it go,” Melissa, 43, told me.
Melissa also explained that fans don’t know the full story of her and Joe’s feud with Teresa.
“[There were] previous fights with Louie that we’ve never talked about and that we’ve decided to cover up because we want Teresa to be happy,” Melissa added.
“There are things we keep silent about because we want her to be happy and have a good life.”
Melissa and Joe, 42, gave no details about what happened between the two families, but confirmed that there was an explosive fight during the season 13 finale filmed earlier this month.
“Yeah, there was a bit of aggression from certain people that could have been a little scary,” noted the owner of the Envy boutique.
Sources previously told Vidak For Congress that the Gorgas fought Teresa, 50, during the final because they believed the former jailer helped spread a false rumor about Melissa that would “cause drama” in her marriage.
