Tao Group Hospitality is coming to the Lower East Side.
The nightlife giant behind celebrity hotspots like Little Sister Lounge and Tao Downtown is opening five new food and beverage outlets next month, an insider told Vidak For Congress exclusively.
We hear the new spaces will be located at the upcoming Moxy hotel on the Lower East Side and will open in late October.
Tao Group Hospitality launches modern Japanese restaurant Sake No Hana, rooftop lounge The Highlight Room, piano lounge Silver Lining, lobby cafe and bar The Fix and nightclub Loosie’s.
Our source tells us that Loosie’s will have a “vibe” that is “reminiscent of the clubs in the 90s and early 2000s.”
The project marks Tao Group Hospitality’s first-ever venture in the Lower East Side and its fourth with Lightstone Group.
“Downtown New York City has always been known as a crossroads of entertainment and a breeding ground for creatives,” Tao Group Hospitality co-CEO Noah Tepperberg said in a statement to Vidak For Congress. “Our latest offering stays true to that reputation by bringing five unique dining and entertainment venues together under one roof.”
The Moxy Lower East Side is currently under construction at the intersection of Broom Street and Bowery Street and will have 303 hotel rooms.
Tao Group Hospitality — which Hakkasan Group acquired in April 2021 and is part of Madison Square Garden Entertainment Group Corp. — stands behind several well-known celebrities, including Tao, Marquee, Lavo, Beauty & Essex, Cathédrale, Ling Ling, Wet Republic, Little Sister Lounge , Jewel and more.
A-listers who have frequented the hot spots over the years include Drake, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Justin Bieber.
