Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s divorce will soon be behind them.
The stars of “Vanderpump Rules” resolved the case, which was undisputed, in paperwork completed last week but filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday. In the documents obtained by Vidak For Congress, Maloney requested the court to waive spousal support for both her and Schwartz “forever”.
The documents also show that the former couple has reached an agreement on the division of their shared assets.
Once the judge agrees to their settlement, the Bravolebrities’ divorce will be finalized.
Maloney, 35, filed for divorce from Schwartz, 39, in March, a week after the couple publicly announced their split.
“After 12 years of adventure together, Tom and I are ending our marriage,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “This ending is not met with resentment or hostility, no side to choose. We have deep admiration for each other that will last forever and we cherish our friendship. Although we may be on different paths, we will continue to love and support each other’s happiness.
“Thank you all for the kind words and support,” she finished, merging two photos of the reality stars.
Schwartz wrote a longer tribute to his soon-to-be ex-wife describing their “happy union.”
“I don’t blame you for quick judgement. If I looked at us on VPR for the past 9 years, I’d be making them too,” he wrote in part. “Perception becomes skewed by seeing fragments [sic] of our lives on the show, but I’m telling you we’ve had some of the most blissful, romantic, fun times humanly possible over the course of our relationship. I’m talking about joy on an earth level.”
Maloney and Schwartz began dating in September 2010 and married in August 2016 in a woodsy ceremony in front of Bravo cameras.
They later realized they were not legally married and three years later flew to Las Vegas with close friends to make their union official.
