Tristan “Third Trimester” Thompson posted about “responsibility” as he celebrated the birth of his fourth child across Europe.
The NBA star, 31, took to his Instagram story on Sunday to list the “three rules” that will help one realize “independence is the way forward.”
According to his post, the rules are “you are not promised anything”, “no one owes you anything” and “you have all the responsibility in your life.”
Thompson’s quirky message came just a day after his ex, Khloé Kardashian, encouraged her Instagram followers to “grow” instead of being “held hostage” by their past.
“You see, I’ve found that people will hold you hostage in your past because it helps them validate how they wanted to feel about you,” said a Maryland-based TikToker in a viral video, which the founder of Good American, 38, said. reposted via Instagram Saturday.

The expectant father of four has spent the past two weeks in Europe despite waiting for the arrival of his second child – a son – with Kardashian.
During his travels, the Canadian basketball player saw hand in hand with a mysterious brunette after a party in a Greek nightclub and in St. Tropez, next to Leonardo DiCaprio.
Kardashian, who has not made any public comments about his travels, seemed to approve of his behavior when she “liked” a post that read, “I don’t know why it would be crazy for Tristan to be with another girl as long as he is a good father to his baby.”
The basketball player earned his unflattering nickname, Tristan “Third Trimester” Thompson, after his first cheating scandal came to light just before Kardashian – his then-girlfriend – gave birth to their 4-year-old daughter, True.
