‘The Flash’ star Ezra Miller apologizes and seeks treatment

Ezra Miller says they are seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues” amid multiple legal scandals.

In a statement, Miller, who identifies as non-binary and uses pronouns, apologized for their behavior in recent years that led to arrests over allegations of abuse and assault.

“Having recently gone through a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have started treatment,” Miller told Variety through a statement from their representative.

“I want to apologize to everyone I have alarmed and upset about my past behavior. I am determined to do the necessary work to return to a healthy, safe and productive phase of my life.”

Miller, 29, has been mired in legal troubles across the US since the beginning of the year.

The “Fantastic Beasts” actor was arrested in Hawaii in March for disorderly conduct and later pleaded not to contest. They were also charged with allegedly throwing a chair at a woman and being the subject of 10 911 emergency calls in less than a month in the same state.

Just three months later, Miller was charged with grooming a teenager with “cult-like” behavior. The teen’s parents filed a lawsuit in the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court alleging that the actor “uses violence, intimidation, threats of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs to control a young adolescent Tokata. “

However, Tokata denied the statements of their family and friends on social media.

That same month, Miller was charged with housing three young children and their mother on a gun-filled ranch in Vermont. Two sources told Rolling Stone at the time that they feared for the safety of the children aged 1 to 5, but the mother insisted she and her children were okay, adding that Miller helped her escape from a supposedly “violent and abusive ex” and gave her “a safe environment for” [her] three very young children.”

Earlier this month, the “Fantastic Beasts” actor was charged with burglary after allegedly stealing alcohol from a Vermont home.
