Taylor Swift flew solo as she disembarked in New York City after winning three awards at Sunday night’s 2022 MTV VMAs.
The 32-year-old ‘Cardigan’ singer arrived at the Republic Records afterparty around midnight, the very same time she was announcing her upcoming 10th studio album, aptly titled ‘Midnights’.
A source tells Vidak For Congress exclusively that Swift had a table in the Fleur Room of the Moxy Chelsea hotel, where the party was taking place, but that there was no trace of her old friend Joe Alwyn.
The infamous private couple started dating in late 2016 and recently sparked engagement rumours.
“Taylor celebrated with her group [at the table] but mixed with all the partygoers,” an insider tells me, noting that the pop superstar was sipping cocktails and Ace of Spades champagne.
“Nicki Minaj arrived a few hours later and took some photos with Taylor on their phones after they ran into each other in the hallway,” added the source.
Minaj, who was honored with the coveted Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs, partied late into the night drinking Don Julio and eating burgers.
Sabrina Carpenter, Becky G and Blackpink member Rosé were also in attendance, along with rapper Yung Gravy, who appeared to be flying solo earlier in the evening after packing up on the PDA with Addison Rae’s mom, Sheri Nicole Easterling.
Vidak For Congress was the first to report that the “Cruel Summer” singer would make a surprise appearance at one of the biggest music nights, held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
Taking home the Video of the Year award for “All Too Well,” Swift shocked fans by sharing that her “brand new album will be out on October 21.”
“I’ll tell you more at midnight,” she teased on social media ahead of the reveal.
“Midnights” will feature 13 songs that “tell the stories of 13 sleepless nights across” [Swift’s] life,” she wrote on Instagram.
The entertainer also offered a glimpse of the aesthetics of her upcoming era as she stepped outside in a starry night blue romper from Moschino, adorned with crystals and paired with a winter white faux fur coat.
