Kayla Cardona, the star of ‘Selling the OC’, puts an end to her co-star Alex Hall’s claim that she tried to sleep with their married co-worker Tyler Stanaland.
“I heard about that recently” [rumor],” Cardona, 33, tells Vidak For Congress exclusively.
“That’s new, but all I can say is it’s not true. It’s just a lie. Everything.”
Hall, 33, recently claimed to “Entertainment Tonight” that Cardona tried “multiple occasions” to “have sex” with Stanaland, 33, making him “very uncomfortable”.
Cardona tells us she “faced” her former boyfriend with the accusation last weekend, but that it “wasn’t the time and place because it was after she went to a club”.
“It just kind of went through one ear and the other, to be honest,” shares the single mom. “I just don’t trust anything that comes out of her mouth.”
Though she denies the sex rumours, Cardona has admitted to trying to kiss Stanaland while filming for “Selling the OC.”
“As you can see, we’re a very wild group, and if we mix that with a lot of alcohol, we all get really flirty,” she tells us, but clarifies that “nothing ever happened.”
The Oppenheim Group’s broker says she’s unsure of Hall’s “intent” to spread lies about her, but thinks it might be a way for Hall to “deter” herself.
Hall has also been accused of being too flirty with Stanaland – who is married to “Pitch Perfect” actress Brittany Snow – by hugging him on the beach and giving him a “nose” in one of the scenes of the Netflix reality show.
However, Hall recently told us exclusively that she doesn’t regret her behavior with her male counterpart and that she would even “do it again”.
Meanwhile, Cardona thinks Stanaland may have gotten off easy, as he’s the common denominator in all the drama.
“It was only when I just… [saw] all the backlash I’ve gotten and looking back, and I’m like you’re literally allowing people to suck and grab your nose and let other women sit on your lap. For example, there is a lot of hypocrisy. I think it’s pretty clear,” she says.
The California businesswoman says she thinks some of the criticism she’s received was “unfair” compared to what Stanaland received, but goes on to explain why she took the blame for everything that happened.
“I have a really, really good heart, and I care, and I looked at it like, ‘I don’t have a marriage to save. You do, so let me put it all on me,'” she adds.
However, Stanaland recently told Us Weekly that he doesn’t believe he was ever in charge of Cardona and that he and his friends have “brother-sister vibes.”
Cardona says that although the drama is now a thing of the past, if Stanaland’s wife wanted an apology, she’s such a “girly girl” that she’d give her one to make her feel better.
