Sarah Jessica Parker pays tribute to her late stepfather

Sarah Jessica Parker wrote a touching social media tribute Friday to her late stepfather, Paul Giffin Forste.

“Strong as a bull. Until the end,” the 57-year-old “Sex and the City” alum wrote on Instagram with an old black-and-white photo of her late relative.

She added that he died “at home and among all those who loved you dearly”, noting that he “will always be missed”.

Parker decided to tell her late stepfather that she and her family will “take good care” of her mother and Forste’s now-widow, Barbra Forste, who she says was “adored for 54 years” by her stepfather.

After her touching words, friends and followers sent their condolences in the comments section of the post.

Comedian Amy Sedaris commented, “So beautiful. I always think of you and I know you know I am.”

Actress Lena Waithe added, “I’m sending you so much love.”

Parker’s family confirmed to Vidak For Congress on Thursday that Paul had died the day before.

“Our family is saddened to announce that after an unexpected and rapid illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at the age of 76,” the statement read.

“In his final moments, he was surrounded by the love and gratitude of his adored wife Barbara, 54, and children, including Sarah Jessica Parker.”

The statement continued: “Paul will be remembered with the spirit of loving-kindness that was his faith, his special joy in his 13 grandchildren and his enduring faith in making the world a more charitable, tolerant and beautiful place for all.”

On Wednesday night, Parker was noticeably missing from the New York City Ballet’s 10th annual fall fashion gala, which she was expected to attend since she was honored.

However, a source exclusively told us at the time that the “Hocus Pocus 2” star had to pull out at the last minute due to a “sudden, devastating family situation” – which was later confirmed to be Paul’s death.
