Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she is in love with her new girlfriend whom she met through TikTok.
“I watched her little videos and every time I saw her I smiled and said, ‘This woman is perfect. Look at her, she’s so happy and excited and bright and she’s got a light out of her,'” O’ Donnell, 60, gushed Monday on “The Howard Stern Show.”
The “View” alum said she’s never contacted anyone she wanted to date through the social media app, but couldn’t resist Hauer and sent her a direct message.
“I thought we might be friends, I said, ‘You’re very beautiful, I love your look,’ and 10 days later she wrote me a video back. She sang a song,” the actress explained.
O’Donnell added that the couple is taking it easy, but: “I’m in love, I am. She’s very nice and wonderful.”
“I like the pace we’re going at, it’s not a U-Haul situation,” she joked.
O’Donnell also shared that her new love interest, who has 23 tattoos, is “very, very sexy to me”.
Hauer and the former talk show host went Instagram official on June 1, the first day of Pride Month, and made their red carpet debut a month later at the Stand Up for Friendly House comedy benefit in Los Angeles.
Hauer revealed on the “Lesbian Speaking” podcast last year that she was raised as a strict Mormon in Idaho. She married at the age of 21 and welcomed a daughter named Izzie. Five years later, she divorced and went through a brutal, nearly ten-year lawsuit before getting full custody. She also has a son.
O’Donnell was previously married to Kelli Carpenter, with whom she shares children Parker, 27, Chelsea, 24, Blake, 22, and Vivienne, 19, as well as Michelle Rounds, with whom she adopted daughter Dakota, now 9. Rounds died by suicide in 2017.
She was also previously engaged to Boston police officer Elizabeth Rooney. The two broke up at the end of 2019 after two years together.
Not that O’Donnell is eager to tie the knot again.
“No, we’re not getting into a third marriage, two is enough, I promise,” she told Stern and his sidekick Robin Quivers. “Two is enough. I’d say it’s not my best thing.”
