Malia Obama was spotted in New York City on Monday with rumors of boyfriend Dawit Eklund — a month after the pair spent some time together in LA.
The former First Daughter, 24, and record producer, 33, were spotted together in the Soho neighborhood of Manhattan. Then they went to Chinatown for lunch.
However, Obama and Eklund have not confirmed to the dads that they are a couple, as there were no public displays of affection during their outing.
In fact, the couple spent most of their walk with their arms crossed tightly in front of them.
However, they didn’t seem mad at each other when they were photographed sharing a grin in one of the images.
Obama looked cool and casual with her hair in long braids, a denim shirt, beige cargo pants, sneakers and dark sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Eklund matched her streetwear vibe, sporting a green shirt, khaki pants, sneakers and a black jacket with daisy prints on it.
In August, the TV writer and music director were a little more sensitive when they were caught sharing a hug during a day out together on the West Coast.
However, they didn’t close lips that time either.
Malia representatives did not immediately return Vidak For Congress’s request for comment as to whether the duo are indeed dating.
New York City seems to be a place where Barack and Michelle Obama’s oldest daughter likes to hang out with her significant others.
In 2018, the then 19-year-old was photographed walking around the Big Apple with her ex-boyfriend Rory Farquharson. It’s unclear when the Harvard classmates broke up.
