Ricky Martin’s 21-year-old nephew’s protection order against the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer has been rejected after allegations of incest as a bombshell, Vidak For Congress can confirm.
Attorneys for Martin, 50, told us Thursday that the Puerto Rico court has not extended Dennis Yadiel Sanchez’s temporary protection order as they had “anticipated.”
“The prosecutor confirmed to the court that his decision to drop the case was his only one, without any influence or pressure from outside, and the prosecutor confirmed that he was satisfied with his legal representation in the case,” lawyers Joaquín Monserrate Matienzo, Carmelo Dávila and Harry Massanet Pastrana reports this in a joint statement.
“The request came from the prosecutor who asked for the case to be dropped. This was never more than a concerned person making false accusations without being able to substantiate them.”
The lawyers concluded: “We are pleased that our client has seen justice and can now move on with his life and his career.”
Earlier this month, Martin was hit with a domestic violence restraining order, but the identity of his accuser was not known at the time.
