Wednesday marked the official launch of the OPPO A1 5G in China, with a single storage configuration option. Recent sightings of the device on certification websites such as Geekbench, TENAA, and China Telecom indicate that its release is imminent.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered OPPO A1 5G smartphone features a 5,000mAh battery and wired 67W SuperVOOC quick charging. This year, OPPO is also expected to introduce a 300W SuperVOOC wired fast charging coupled with a 4,450mAh battery (with an average capacity of 4,600mAh).
OPPO A1 5G features and specifications
The OPPO A1 5G features a 6.72-inch, full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400-pixel) LCD display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 360Hz, and a pixel density of 391 PPI. The display’s maximum luminance is 680 nits.
The OPPO A1 5G is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device utilizes ColorOS 13.1, a skin based on Android 13.
The OPPO A1 5G features a dual rear camera with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and an LED light. Two vertically aligned circular modules contain the lenses in the upper-left corner of the rear panel. In a centered recess on the display’s front, an 8MP facial camera sensor is housed.
The OPPO A1 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC wired quick charging.
The device features a biometric sensor on the side, a 3.5mm audio socket, and a USB Type-C port. The newly introduced OPPO device features 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ AGPS, GLONASS, and Beidou for connectivity.
OPPO A1 5G price, availability
The OPPO A1 5G is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 23,800) for the solitary model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The company has not yet officially disclosed plans for the model’s Indian or international debut.
There are three color options for the phone: Ocean Blue, Sandstone Black, and Cabernet Orange. The Cabernet Orange version includes a small leather rear panel with a lychee pattern and automobile-textured embroidery. The device is available for pre-order on the website of OPPO China.
