NeNe Leakes has dropped its discrimination lawsuit against Andy Cohen, Bravo, the network’s parent company NBC Universal and production company True Entertainment — at least for now.
According to court documents obtained by Vidak For Congress, the 54-year-old “Real Housewives of Atlanta” filed Friday to dismiss the case “without prejudice,” meaning she has the option to reopen the case at a later date.
Leakes representatives rejected Vidak For Congress’s request for comment on a future strategy.
In the meantime, the parties involved in the case agreed not to seek “reimbursement of costs or attorneys’ fees,” according to the documents.
The conclusion of the case comes two months after Vidak For Congress reported in June that Leakes had been negotiating with Bravo, Cohen, 54, and NBC Universal to potentially settle their case out of court.
The defendants previously argued that one of their existing contract agreements provided that any disputes between them were “subject to arbitration” in New York. The recently dismissed lawsuit was filed in Georgia.
The motion also noted at the time that Leakes “did not agree” with the idea of arbitration, but that both parties were “negotiating this matter in an effort to reduce the time and cost of a motion to enforce arbitration” through their respective advisers. .
Since then, Leakes has continued to insinuate on social media that she stands behind her claims.
In July, she criticized “abusers” and those who “want power over their victims” amid the ongoing lawsuit.
“Everyone can see what they’ve done to me! Nobody is stupid!” the former co-host of “Fashion Police” tweeted in response at the time for fans.
She also claimed“This treatment has been going on for years!”
Then, just two weeks ago, Leakes seemed to be targeting Cohen.
“He stopped me from working because I was a threat to his career!” she claimed on Twitter. “Yet he was able to abuse me for years.”
Leakes added, “I’m so eager to release these voice recordings.”
The “RHOA” alum first filed suit in April over claims she made racist remarks for years against former co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, who is white. However, she did not sue her former co-star.
Leakes also went on to claim after the submission that she was “blacklisted” from booking other jobs in the entertainment space as a result of her statement.
Lawyers and representatives from Cohen, NBC and Bravo declined to comment.
