Supermodel Coco Rocha has graced runways for Chanel, Dior, Versace and countless others – but there’s one fashion show she’s always avoided.
Asked by a TikTok follower to “demonstrate the runway of a ~specific ~ problematic brand” [sic] in from the mid-2000s” on Thursday, the Canadian beauty playfully showcased her Victoria’s Secret Angel-worthy style.
“Always rejected this ‘specific’ show, but I think it’s kind of like this,” she wrote of the clip, without mentioning the mall’s brand by name.
The mother of three started beaming brightly, blowing kisses and waving to an imaginary crowd as she walked.
“Air kisses and spray tans were never my thing,” Rocha, 34, wrote to the teasing but tasteful TikTok.
“This remains Coco’s secret,” commented one fan. “The shadow,” wrote another.
“I know you read them to infinity, but you still look incredible,” a third person added.
Rocha also showcased a range of other props on social media, including the ’90s Super Sashay’, ‘Male Model Blue Steel’ and ‘Contemporary Flail’.
In 2018, she founded the Coco Rocha Model Camp, which offers runway classes and courses on navigating the fashion industry.
“Over there [are] hours and hours in which I discuss what your rights are as a model, as a human being. What you might experience, what you should never experience, everything. I have experienced the bad, the good and the amazing. And I want them to just experience the good and the great,” the former teen model told Vidak For Congress Style in 2021 about the school’s focus.
This is not the first time the devout Jehovah’s Witness has spoken out about her problems with the US.
“It’s just that my breasts aren’t out. And I don’t have a cigarette in my hand, and I’m not making out with a man,” she said of her choice to pose without nudity or certain props. “And it’s all fine if you want to do that. I don’t judge. My besties do Victoria’s Secret. I just don’t do it,” Rocha told Business Insider in 2014.
Despite never walking the star-studded runway of Victoria’s Secret, in 2017 Rocha appeared in an ad for the retailer’s Pink brand – which is aimed at younger customers.
