Nicola Peltz did her best Posh Spice impression while having lunch at Avra in Beverly Hills with husband Brooklyn Beckham on Sunday.
Despite Vidak For Congress’s exclusive account of a cold war between Victoria Beckham and Peltz, 27, the ‘Transformers’ actress appeared to be channeling the former pop star along the way.
Peltz paired a fitted black T-shirt with a green knee-length skirt, a silver chain belt and towering platforms, and tucked her fresh brown locks under a thick black headband.
VB was a particularly big fan of the oversized headband in the early 2000s, using everything from Burberry headscarves to silky scarves to tie up her locks.
The British fashion designer also long had a penchant for polished pencil skirts.
Peltz recently spoke of our report that she and Victoria, 48, “can’t stand each other and can’t talk,” explaining that the rumors started when she wasn’t wearing any of her mother-in-law’s designs on her wedding dress, instead choose a Valentino Haute Couture creation.
“I planned and I really wanted it, and a few months later she realized her studio couldn’t do it, so I had to pick another dress,” Peltz told Variety. ‘She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and that’s what they started working on.”
Husband Brooklyn, 23, also responded, telling the publication: “I’ve learned that they will always try to write things like that. They will always try to put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
A number of well-placed sources in Palm Beach, home to the billionaire Peltz family, told us that the tension between the two women is more like a full-blown family feud.
“Victoria and Nicola are just collateral damage,” said one insider, while another added: “It’s pretty clear there’s a problem between the two families. Everyone has to find their place. They’re just not quite connected yet. ”
Despite the drama, Brooklyn seems as in love as ever with his new bride. The social media chief recently revealed that he has as many as 70 tattoos dedicated to Peltz.
