The Dimensity 7050 is the most recent chipset release from MediaTek, which is now going through a rebranding process with its most recent chipset offerings.
The recently introduced SoC is indistinguishable from the Dimensity 1080, which was released in the month of November.
Dimensity 7050 will debut on India’s Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone.
The Dimensity 7050 is fabricated using TSMC’s N6 chip fabrication process. It features two Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores operating at a frequency of 2.6 GHz, as well as six
Arm Cortex-A55 power-efficiency cores operating at a frequency of 2.0 GHz. The Arm Mali-G68 MC4 is in charge of the graphics processing unit (GPU) side.
The new chipset can accommodate up to 200-megapixel camera sensors and can capture 4K video at 30 frames per second.
It supports a maximum of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and can manage displays with a maximum resolution of up to 2520 by 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 hertz. In addition, connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual SIM 5G are included.
