Chilli doesn’t want “No Scrubs,” but she doesn’t want Matthew Lawrence – romantically – either.
In what is arguably one of the quintessential ’90s crossovers, the TLC singer and “Boy Meets World” alum were photographed getting close on a beach in Hawaii on Monday, but a representative from Chilli told TMZ that the duo are just friends.
TLC happened to have a gig on the island, which Lawrence and his friends were watching. Since Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Ocelean Thomas, and Lawrence have been friends for a long time, they decided to meet at a later date.
The wildly nostalgic sighting comes as the “Mrs. Doubtfire” actor, 42, has been out of the public eye while going through a divorce from Cheryl Burke.
The “Dancing With the Stars” pro, 38, filed to annul their three-year marriage in February, though she listed their separation date as January 7.
The application, obtained by Vidak For Congress, also stated that the now-estranged couple’s prenuptial agreement — dated three days before they married — was “in full force and effect and is fully binding on the parties.”
While Lawrence has not publicly acknowledged the divorce, Burke has admitted she is “a little lonely” without a husband.
“At the end of the day, you know, when I close my eyes and go to bed, it’s a little lonely,” she said in her podcast, “Burke in the Game.”
“I wouldn’t mind being in a texting relationship with someone or even just someone to flirt with.”
