EDM star Diplo didn’t take a lunch break while shooting a party in the Hamptons this weekend, constantly peeling and popping clementines in his mouth during his set.
The DJ was playing a Fourth of July party in Sag Harbor at CJ Boogati’s MTRX mansion hosted by Anna Rothschild for guests like Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony when a spy found himself snacking on citrus during turning.
“He had a bowl of clementines or tangerines, small oranges, on one side of his equipment,” explains the spy, who says there seemed to be a system. “He would peel them while he was playing and then a man would come by and clean the rind of each clementine.”
By adding the fruit tooth: “Diplo would take one out of the bowl and place it on the other side of the equipment, separate from the others. That was the next one he would eat. He must have had about six .”
A source tells us that Diplo is such a fan of the products in his rider.
A representative of the DJ and record producer did not respond to the request for comment.
Diplo was all over the Hamptons over the long holiday weekend. He also played Casa Del Sol mansion in Amagansett and stopped by the Surf Lodge in Montauk where DJ duo the Chainsmokers were performing.
The ‘Lean On’ songwriter recently teamed up with cannabis drink company Leisuretown to launch THC drinks. Flavors include Cherry Vanilla, Ginger Berry, and Yuzu Lim, but unfortunately not Orange.
