Martha Stewart posed for thirst traps before thirst traps even existed.
The famous housewife posted a photo of a cover of Spy magazine from 1996 in which she posed nude on Monday.
“remember this????? OMG!!!” she captioned the bold Instagram post.
Stewart, 81, appeared to be channeling Sandro Botticelli’s famous painting “Birth of Venus,” as she sat in a huge seashell, using her knees to cover her bare chest.
Several fans flocked to the comment section to praise the TV personality’s throwback photo shoot for the short-lived satirical magazine.
“You could do it again Martha!!!🔥🔥,” wrote one follower.
“now that’s iconic,” commented a second.
“Hahaha. Still have my copy!!!!” noted a third fan.
“🔥🔥Damn hot in such a tasteful way. Encore please,” begged yet another.
Stewart’s mermaid-esque nude isn’t her only steamy wave-making shot.
In July 2020, she took the internet by storm by posing for a sexy photo while hanging out in her East Hampton pool when she was 78 years old.
Days later, the lifestyle mogul addressed the hysteria, explaining that after learning about the term “thirst trap,” she certainly believes her post was just that.
“[I] I just thought I looked great when I got out of the pool,” she said at the time. “My camera turned on backwards, you know, selfie mode, and I looked so cute. The sun was on my face. I thought, ‘Oh, that looks nice,’ so I took the picture. It looked good.”
Stewart added that she is still in her “heyday” and has no intention of getting older.
“I’m done with birthdays, honey,” she said. “We’re going back now.”
It was clear that her fans thought she looked good too, as Snoop Dogg’s unlikely boyfriend revealed that her thirst trap in the pool got her several proposals.
“I’ve had 14 proposals, I don’t know what for, but they’re proposals,” she said in July in E!’s “Daily Pop”, adding, “I haven’t checked lately, that was the first day.”
From there, Stewart has continued to post sultry photos over the years.
