Mark Consuelos celebrates “sexy” Kelly Ripa on her 52nd birthday.
The soap star took to Instagram on Sunday to pay tribute to his wife with seven beautiful photos taken over the years.
“Happy birthday!!!” Consuelos, 51, captioned it. “What a year of achievements. So proud of you.❤️❤️❤️.”
Many of the couple’s celeb friends took to the comments section to echo Consuelos’ feelings, including Lee Daniels, Amy Sedaris and Rachel Harris.
“Ageless,” said actor Benjamin Bratt and producer Gary Janetti added, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLY!! ️”
Consuelos and Ripa, who met while starring together in “All My Children,” married in 1996. They share three children — Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19 — and recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary in May.
Earlier this month, Ripa admitted to People that she and Consuelos were “too young” when they got married. They were both 25 at the time.
“On paper it shouldn’t have worked, and when it didn’t work, we actually worked on it,” she explained.
“We fought for our marriage when it would have been easier to quit and throw in the towel. We didn’t know otherwise.”
In that same interview, Ripa said she feared she and the former “Riverdale” star would “divorce” if their kids went to college and they became empty nesters.
“It’s scary, exciting, liberating, shocking … and quiet,” explains the co-host of “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” “There were times when I thought, ‘We’re going to be that couple: Our third child is going to college and we’re getting a divorce because this is it.'”
