Happy Birthday, David Banda!
Madonna’s youngest son celebrated his 17th birthday on Saturday with a disco-themed party for family and friends, and the gender-fluid fashion star didn’t disappoint with his outfit choice for the evening.
Banda wore a teal sequined trouser suit over a silky black shirt that was unbuttoned halfway up his chest, which he later discarded altogether – to better show off his multitude of frozen necklaces and diamond ‘DB’ pendant from one of the favorite jewelers. from his famous mother, Richie Rich.
The teen completed his party ensemble with a huge fur coat and towering silver platform boots, which he showed off in a video report of the festivities that Madonna, 64, shared on Instagram on Sunday.
“It’s time to boogie-oogie-oogie at 17,” Banda says at the beginning of the clip, which was composed by Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Boogie Wonderland.”
Madonna also dressed by theme, choosing a green floral top with feather-trimmed sleeves, paired with matching hot pants and topped off with a sparkly fedora; Banda’s 10-year-old twin sisters, Estere and Stella, sparkled in colorful sequined dresses, accented with feather boas, tinted sunglasses and shimmery eye makeup.
While it’s unclear if Banda borrowed his birthday suit from his mom, the Material Girl recently said he wears her clothes better than she does.
“He can put on any outfit and look swag like you know,” she said in August on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“It’s really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better. He can even wear a dress and look tough.”
Indeed, Banda made headlines when he joined his mother at the WBA World Lightweight Championship in May, wearing a bright red Adidas x Gucci three-stripe dress, while Madonna matched up in a black striped Balenciaga x Adidas tracksuit.
