Madonna’s eldest son is all grown up!
The singer took to Instagram on Monday to catch a glimpse of Rocco Ritchie’s lavish Italian birthday party, after turning 22 on August 11.
“From one Leo to another!! Happy Birthday Rocco,” the “Material Girl” singer, 63, captioned a series of photos from the evening.
It appeared that only five of Madonna’s six children attended to commemorate the occasion, which took place in a villa with a candlelit dinner.
In the snaps, the “Vogue” singer raised a glass to the artist – who she shares with ex Guy Ritchie – while a live band played in the background.
Rocco’s blended family crowded around him as he cut his extravagant birthday cake—an intricate brown briefcase with the initials “RC” stamped on it in gold icing.
As always, the fashionable family seized the big day as an opportunity to show off their standout style.
Madonna stunned in a silk floral midi dress, which she adorned with a large silver cross necklace.
Meanwhile, the birthday boy and his 16-year-old brother, David, kept things simple in colorful button-downs and trousers.
Mercy, also 16, and twins Estere and Stella, 9, all wore Luisa Beccaria floral dresses, with the two youngest matching in blue.
Rocco, who goes by the stage name “Rhed”, has had a rocky relationship with his pop star mother over the years. After a much-discussed custody battle in 2016, the 22-year-old chose to live with his father.
Since then, the couple appears to have rekindled their relationship with Madonna by making trips to the UK to visit her eldest son.
