Lily James is a real style chameleon.
Earlier this year, the actress made headlines with her stunning transformation into Pamela Anderson for Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy” — and now she’s going goth for Versace.
In the fashion house’s new fall 2022 campaign, which highlights the Greca Goddess bags, the British beauty rocks a jet black wig, bleached eyebrows and black latex.
One shot sees the 33-year-old posing in a black corset dress, liquid-like gloves and dark purple lipstick; in another she rocks a classic image in an affectionate red look.
“When Lily came in front of the camera, she transformed!” designer Donatella Versace, who posted snaps from the set of the shoot to Instagram, said in a statement.
“Wearing the collection unlocked her own personal attitude and gave her a new energy and strength. That’s exactly how you should feel wearing Versace!”
A press release from the brand described James’ “impulsive and bold attitude” as “the epitome of Versace confidence”.
Fans couldn’t get over the star’s gaze for the ads. “I would never have recognized you,” one wrote, with several calling the photos “absolutely stunning.”
As dramatic as her latest makeover may be, we doubt James spent four hours in hair and makeup for her Versace shoot, as she did every day while filming “Pam & Tommy.”
To play the “Baywatch” bomb, the actress sported prosthetic breasts and teeth along with four different wigs, and even had her forehead, eyebrows, eyes, lips and fingernails changed to look exactly like Anderson’s.
