I apologized to Garcelle for laughing at Erika swearing at her son

Kyle Richards says she “immediately” apologized to Garcelle Beauvais for laughing after Erika Jayne swore at Beauvais’ teenage son.

On Tuesday, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said she “felt awful” calling herself Jayne’s drunken behavior “not funny…but funny.”

“You’d think after twelve years I’d know better, but we screwed up — I did. I screwed up,” Richards said during an Amazon livestream, adding that she and her husband Mauricio Umansky — who said Jayne’s behavior was “amazing” — both apologized to Beauvais.

Richards, 53, said she felt her apology to Beauvais, 55, was “personal” and didn’t want to “tell everyone about it,” which is why she didn’t mention it on her Instagram as she spoke about the drama before.

“But I’m saying it now because a lot of people think I didn’t apologize to her, but my husband and I immediately did.”

While Richards noted that the ladies usually get together the day after a cast event to discuss it, she acknowledged that she “shouldn’t have commented on anything that [she] hadn’t even seen [for herself]†

She added that she was “sorry if… [she] disappointed everyone at the time” and revealed that the ordeal caused her to “stop watching the show” to “get away from it a bit.”

Richards was outraged when she initially tried to explain why she laughed when Jayne told 14-year-old Jax to “get the f–k out of here” at Beauvais’ birthday party.

“I laughed at a friend’s drunken, ridiculous behavior. NOT about disrespecting someone’s child,” she insisted in an Instagram comment last week. “I think you know me better than that by now. I wasn’t even there to see this and only heard about Erika and what she had said afterwards.”

She doubled down on a series of since-expired Instagram stories: “We’re all parents and we certainly wouldn’t want anyone to talk to one of our kids like that,” she wrote, admitting that she focused on Jayne’s “new” relationship with alcohol.” minimized” the “more important issue.”

It’s unclear how Beauvais received Richards’ apology, but she was certainly furious when she first saw the scene.

“@GarcelleB did you know Kyle, Mauricio, Dorit & PK had this conversation and laughed at the horrible way Erika spoke to your kid or did you learn this while watching the episode?” a Twitter user asked last week.

“No, I’ve never seen this scene until now 😡,” Beauvais replied: before praising all three of her sons for showing “respect for people even when they don’t deserve it.” (She is also the mother of Jax’s twin brother, Jaid, and 31-year-old Oliver.)
