Khloé Kardashian was reportedly engaged to Tristan Thompson in 2021 – despite the reality star claiming she turned him down.
According to a new report from Buzzfeed, Thompson, 31, first made a proposal to Kardashian, 38, in December 2019 and “reconsidered the topic of an engagement” in February 2021.
Sources told the outlet that the “Kardashians” star reportedly said “yes” the second time.
The insider added that the couple – who have since split – kept their engagement a secret at the time.
However, Kardashian would call it off 10 months later, after news broke that the NBA star had cheated on her and got Maralee Nichols pregnant.

Buzzfeed’s report contradicts what Kardashian said in the latest episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians.” The Good American co-founder claimed she turned down Thompson after he proposed to her in December 2020, which doesn’t match the outlet’s timeline.
As previously reported, Kardashian and Thompson initially sparked engagement rumors in December 2020 when she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring. That finger.
A representative for Kardashian did not respond to our request for comment at the time.
Despite staying a mom at the time about the status of her and Thompson’s relationship, Kardashian continued to fuel engagement rumors by posting several cryptic messages with the huge starlet over Instagram for months.
She didn’t seem to wear it anymore in late fall 2021.
To add fuel to the engagement rumors, Thompson allegedly told Nichols via Snapchat that he and Kardashian were engaged and planning to tie the knot.
“I’m engaged, but I’m getting married soon. I’ve told you I won’t and can’t be in childhood at all,” Thompson wrote to Nichols in messages obtained by Us Weekly in March 2022.
“Why not wait until yoj [sic] finding the right person to start a family with.”
During the season 2 premiere of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian claimed to viewers that Thompson learned of Nichols’ pregnancy in July 2021.
She claimed that instead of being honest with her, Tristan encouraged Kardashian to complete their embryo transfer “by a certain date.” The two then welcomed their second child together, a son via surrogate, in July.
The exes are also parents of 4-year-old daughter True.
