Katie Holmes describes how she, daughter Suri, spent the quarantine

The quarantine experience of Katie Holmes and her 16-year-old daughter Suri felt like an “eternal vacation.”

The duo painted, quilted with a sewing machine and cooked while staying at home amid the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, the actress, 43, told Amazing magazine in her Summer 2022 cover story (via the Daily Mail).

“We were also on a lake, and there was a hammock, so I would wake up, sew, drink coffee and take a nap in the hammock,” she recalls.

Holmes further revealed that she and Suri watched “Dirty Dancing” 10 times.

“Let me tell you, I danced to it in the living room, and it still holds up,” said Holmes, who welcomed her daughter with then-husband Tom Cruise in 2006. “It was fun.”

Suri celebrated her 14th birthday that year and enjoyed a quiet party at home.

“I am so blessed to be your mother,” the “Dawson’s Creek” alum wrote via Instagram in April 2020. “May this year be incredible!”

The following year, Holmes told her social media followers that she couldn’t “believe” her child was “already 15.”

The star of “First Daughter” wrote, “Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ️💕😘.”

Since Holmes welcomed Suri at the age of 27, the pair have “grown up a bit together,” the “Kennedys” alum told Elle UK in November 2019.

“It was nice that our ages fit,” she explained to the magazine at the time. “Any age my child has been and my age at the time has been a good match.”

Holmes and Cruise, now 60, split six years after Suri was born.

The star of “All We Had” continued with Jamie Foxx from 2013 to 2019 and Chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. from 2020 to 2021.

In April, Holmes confirmed that she is in a relationship with musician Bobby Wooten III. The pair made their red carpet debut the following month.
