Jim Edmonds’ fairytale wedding to Kortnie O’Connor missed a few key guests, according to his ex-wife Meghan King.
The former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star revealed on Monday’s episode of her “Intimate Knowledge” podcast that the couple’s three children — Aspen (5) and twin sons Hart and Hayes (4) “were not even invited” to marriage .
“They don’t even have a passport and he didn’t ask me for a passport for them,” she told guest Heather McDonald.
However, the 38-year-old found it “interesting that he had a nanny there, but none of his seven children.” (Edmonds also shares daughters Hayley and Lauren with ex Lee-Anne Horton and son Landon and daughter Sutton with Allison Jayne Raski.)
“There was [sic] no kids to babysit at the wedding!” she joked when talking about the “little” gathering last month in Lake Como, Italy.
An Edmonds representative, 52, called King’s latest comments a cry for attention, but they declined to clarify whether the children had actually been invited.
“Meghan has constantly and deliberately harassed and belittled Jim to get attention for herself. Then she turns and complains that she is having trouble co-parenting with Jim; go check it out,’ said the rep to Vidak For Congress.
“And the unfortunate thing is that she puts her own interests above those of her children and uses them as pawns to get publicity for herself. Hopefully at some point she will get the help she needs and decide to lead a meaningful and productive life.”
Though King had a few words for the former MLB star, she gushed about the 37-year-old’s “beautiful” wedding dress, saying she “hoped” their marriage will “last a long time.”
“That’s all I care about, you know? Stability for the kids,” she said.
The former couple – who split in 2019 after five years of marriage – have endured a series of very public disputes over their children in recent years.
In June, King filed two protective orders against Edmonds after alleging the athlete insulted her – which he has denied.
According to the court document obtained by TMZ, King claimed that he exhibited “frequent and consistent verbal abuse” towards her via texting and the Family Wizard co-parenting app.
The former reality star went on to talk about her decision to reject the restraining order in the October 3 podcast episode.
“We ended up turning it into a consent order that has the same terms as a restraining order, but now it’s reciprocal, so I have to follow it too,” King said, adding: “I follow the rules, so whatever it does. makes no difference to me.”
“It’s good for Jim and me because we don’t have to see or interact with each other except about the kids, which is nice.”
