“Jersey Shore” star Angelina Pivarnick and her husband, Chris Larangeira, finalized their divorce in May, Vidak For Congress can confirm.
Although their marriage is officially over, the exes are still fighting it out in court.
Larangeira, 42, filed documents on June 23 alleging that Pivarnick, 36, had breached an agreement that she would pay him $22,000, which is the sum of half of their wedding gifts, The US Sun reported Thursday.
Larangeira, who is a sanitation worker in New York City, also asked that Pivarnick pay his attorney’s fees because of the differences in the “financial circumstances of the parties.”
In addition, Larangeira wants $50 for every day Pivarnick doesn’t pocket the $22,000.
Larangeira filed for divorce from the MTV personality on January 20 — just weeks after exclusively telling Vidak For Congress that she’s “fighting” to save their marriage.
“I told myself, ‘I’m not getting a divorce. I’m going to try everything I can to save my marriage, whatever it is,'” she told us at the time.
The former couple had a tumultuous relationship for years. They faced several challenges, including allegations of infidelity on both sides, a sexless marriage and Larangeira’s decision to move temporarily.
The final straw apparently came when Pivarnick admitted to having had it with her “All Star Shore” co-star Luis Caballero.
“L [left to film the show] on bad terms with [Chris]’ she told co-star Deena Nicole Cortese on a recent episode of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.’
“So this guy Luis, he was clearly on the show the whole time. He would talk to me – he was very sweet and nice to me, but I was very good, I just blew him off.
“He made me laugh and he complimented me too. So time passed and he said, ‘Can you sleep here?’ I slept in bed with him,” Pivarnick confessed, insisting she wasn’t “connected,” even though Cortese, 35, didn’t believe her.
Pivarnick and Larangeira have known each other for over a decade but only started dating in 2016. They tied the knot in November 2019.
