Jenelle Evans has ‘no hard feelings’ about ‘Teen Mom’ spin-off

Jenelle Evans made it clear that she has no bad blood with MTV or her “Teen Mom” co-stars after news broke that she will not be appearing in the show’s upcoming spin-off.

“Only I have decided to reject the terms within the agreement and pursue other career choices, based on the terms,” Evans, 30, told People on Wednesday about skipping “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” that will combine “Teen Mom OG” and “Teen Mom 2.”

“It wouldn’t be aligned with my current chances,” she added. “No hard feelings. I appreciate MTV and the producers for including me, [and] nothing but great vibes for the girls.”

Evans’ manager teased that one day the reality star hasn’t quite closed the door to working with the network.

“There may or may not be more discussions about this,” August Keen told the magazine. “From now on, we’re definitely not doing the show. They should come to us with a much better offer.”

Looking ahead, Evans teased on her Instagram story that fans “will soon discover” that she may be doing her “own show.”

TMZ previously reported that Evans and MTV were unable to reach an agreement on her contract, with her manager saying an exclusive deal with the network “would have limited other career options for Jenelle”.

Evans’ representative did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for additional comment.

Evans began her reality TV journey in 2010 by starring in “16 and Pregnant” while expecting her firstborn son, Jace, when she was in high school. She then joined the cast of “Teen Mom 2” alongside Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer and Chelsea DeBoer.

During her five seasons on the show, Evans went to rehab, had an abortion, and tried to strike a balance between parenting and partying.

Evans and her ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith welcomed son Kaiser in 2014. She then married David Eason in 2017, the same year they had daughter Ensley.

MTV cut ties with Eason, 34, in 2018 after he posted homophobic tweets. A year later, the Channel fired Evans after Eason shot their dog.

Keen told People on Wednesday that Eason is “a good boy” again and “doesn’t do or say things he shouldn’t say.”
