She is back!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced on Wednesday that she will co-host “The View” from August 3.
Fox & Friends, 45, previously sat on the ABC morning talk show from 2003 to 2013 during seasons 7 through 16.
“It will be an honor to co-present ‘The View’, share our bestselling children’s book ‘Flashlight Night’ and tackle hot topics as always!” Hasselbeck gushed to People about her temporary return.
“Pray for me all!” added the Daytime Emmy winner.
She also shared the news on Instagram, telling her followers, “It’s true!”
Hasselbeck’s announcement surfaced amid reports that Alyssa Farrah Griffin will replace Meghan McCain, who left the show in October 2021.
The potential addition will help restore the momentum that existed when Hasselbeck and Candace Cameron presented Bure together, sources told Vidak For Congress of the 33-year-old former political adviser.
“People loved them – viewers, spectators and the presenters,” an insider explained about the former personalities. “They want young! A young, tasty conservative.”
A representative of the show did not respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment at the time.
Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines currently co-host the talk show, along with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, whom Hasselbeck worked with during her tenure.
The ‘Survivor’ alum has reflected on the experience over the years, telling CBN News in April 2019 that she became a ‘right-a-holic’ and ‘recovered’.
Hasselbeck explained: “If you sit at the ‘The View’ table for ten years in a row and only hold one side of the table against four votes on the other, you get really good at getting things right.”
After her departure, the Rhode Island native moved to “Fox & Friends” from 2013 to 2015.
