In celebration of the Barbie Dreamhouse’s 60th anniversary, CHI and Barbie have teamed up to bring a match made in hair heaven.
The two brands have released a limited edition collection, which includes a 1-inch ceramic hair styling iron, 1-inch ceramic rotary curler (resembling the famous CHI Spin N Curl tool), and a 1.25-inch Titanium Triple Barrel Deep Waver. ($109.99 each).
“As a company committed to innovation,” says Dr. Farouk Shami, President and Founder of Farouk Systems, Inc. “We were excited to work with Mattel again to create this consumer experience.”
There’s no doubt that this collaboration will go hand in hand with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s 2023 Barbie movie.
While the internet is obsessed with every costume, we can enjoy some sweet sneak peeks. We’ve already seen outtakes of Robbie sporting glam curls as she sits in a bright pink convertible and soft waves as she struts in a lace-up cowgirl fit.
Seeing Robbie living her best hair life just inspired me to put the CHI x Barbie Dreamhouse collection to the test. I was specifically interested in the 1-inch Ceramic Rotary Curling Iron ($100), which is essentially an automatic Chi curler. and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

Is the CHI x Barbie Dreamhouse Rotary Curling Iron Worth It?
The CHI x Barbie Dreamhouse 1-inch Ceramic Rotating Curling Iron is similar to the iconic CHI Spin N Curl, although it comes in a signature bubblegum Barbie pink color. It also has a marbled design with gold accents that absolutely drool.
To use, simply heat the curling iron to the desired temperature, place a 1 inch strand of hair in the barrel and press and hold the left or right directional button (depending on which way you want to curl your hair). Wait 15 seconds, listen for a beep and release.
