Dua Lipa nearly floated during her dinner date with Trevor Noah earlier this week, Vidak For Congress has learned exclusively.
The London-born pop star, 27, and South African comedian, 38, were spotted Wednesday night having an intimate meal at Miss Lily’s in New York City’s East Village, which an insider said was a place Noah had chosen.
Our informant says Lipa was “smitten” on what was “definitely a date,” although we’ve been told the pair are in the “very early” stages of their romance.
Photos from the unlikely couple’s outing show them sitting close together at dinner, yet far away from other customers, before going for a walk afterwards.
The duo were seen walking, talking and cuddling as the soon-to-be former talk show host appeared to kiss the singer-songwriter.
Our source tells us that Noah was “a gentleman” all evening and the two went home “separately”. Whether in the photos he’s planning a hug on Lipa’s cheek or her lips, we’re told there was “maybe a kiss on the corner lips.”
“There is definitely interest on both sides,” emphasizes our insider.
For their romantic rendezvous, the “One Kiss” singer wore a black leather jacket and oversized jeans, which she paired with leopard-print heels, minimal makeup and long, straight hair.
Matching the mood of his date, the host of the 2021 Grammys opted for an olive green jacket and slouchy black pants.
Representatives of the stars did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s requests for comment.
Lipa’s last public relationship was with model Anwar Hadid, 23. They called it quits in December 2021 after dating for more than two years.
“Dua and Anwar are currently taking a break from their relationship and spending time apart. They’re figuring things out now,” a source told People at the time, though they’ve never publicly rekindled their romance.
Noah – who announced on Thursday that he would be leaving “The Daily Show” after seven years – was last with Minka Kelly, 42. They split last May after being together since 2020.
“Minka is single now,” an insider told People at the time, adding that the actress had “the best attitude” about the split.
“She is very happy. She would rather be single than waste her time with the wrong man,” the source said.
However, another informant close to both Noah and Kelly told the outlet that they had actually “been apart for a while.”
