Drew Barrymore was stunned that her shower went viral.
The “Charlie’s Angels” star posted an upbeat video of herself rejoicing while frolicking outside during a July downpour. In the clip, she tilts her head to the sky and urges, “When you can, get out in the rain! Don’t miss this opportunity!”
The video was viewed more than 22 million times and received more than 10 million likes.
“I had no idea [it would go viral]’, the 47-year-old actress told Vidak For Congress on the red carpet of the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party in NYC on Friday.
“I don’t know, it was just a moment,” she explained. “I like the rain and I also like to run in it.”
Barrymore added that she thinks too many people refrain from getting wet “because we’re thinking about the aftermath.”
‘Do I have to be somewhere? My clothes!’ We stop ourselves from the spontaneity and rain is for everyone,” she continued. “And I like things that are for everyone.”
Other celebrities at the packed NYFW bash included Julia Fox, Alicia Silverstone, Dove Cameron, Heidi Klum and her model daughter, Leni Klum, and rapper Jack Harlow, who performed for the posh crowd.
In addition to checking the weather for upcoming storms, Barrymore is also preparing for her daytime talk show, “The Drew Barrymore Show,” to begin its third season on Monday.
“I have the most amazing premiere episode with [ex-boyfriend] Justin Long,” she teased about the new season. “I am so happy with it. It’s personal and cool and fun and it’s about standing up for your ex, which is such a great thing to do in life.”
The “Santa Clarita Diet” alum dated from 2007 to 2010 with the 44-year-old “F Is for Family” actor – who is currently dating actress Kate Bosworth.
