Now things are crystal clear.
Demi Lovato said they cut their faces open and needed three stitches after accidentally banging their heads against a crystal.
“I picked up something from the floor that I dropped,” Lovato, 29, guest host Mark Rober told “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Thursday. “I am a big fan of crystals. I have an amethyst that is literally about this size.”
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer, who is non-binary and uses she/she pronouns, gestured to the table next to them to show how high their crystal was.
“It’s just really heavy and the pieces are sharp. Anyway, I bent down and picked up something, and I didn’t see the amethyst, and I hit my head,” they said, adding, “I had to get three stitches in my face.”
Lovato, who bumped into their new scar during the late-night show, poked fun at themselves for posting about the injury on social media before even telling anyone close to them.
“I did what a normal person would do, and I made a TikTok before I even told you [anybody],” they laughed.
In the lighthearted video posted to TikTok on Wednesday, the rocker “Substance” showed off the horrific, bloody cut between their eyebrows.
“Guess who hit his head on a crystal and is getting stitches for ‘Kimmel’ tomorrow???” they captioned the clip, saying the word ‘f–k’.
The video was dubbed with a viral TikTok audio that said, “Nobody will know. They will know. How would they know?”
Fortunately, Lovato seemed to be in good spirits after the accident and even had full glamor for the post.
