The producer “cryed for five hours straight” while filming the final episode, he told GQ in a November 2019 interview.

“It was really really hard,” Dan said, calling the last day one of the most “emotional” of his entire life.

“I had a splitting headache and didn’t know what to do with my life,” he added at the time. “I cried when I took off David’s shoes. I will never wear those shoes again – and I don’t want to – but I was very sorry to take them off.”
