Chris Hemsworth Says Wife And Family Called His ‘Thor’ Muscles ‘Too Much’

Chris Hemsworth revealed that his wife Elsa Pataky was less than impressed with his jacked physique in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

The Australian actor, 38, took on the mantle of the Asgardian hero in 2011’s “Thor” and grew more than ever before for his role as the long-haired dreamboat.

But not everyone was a fan of the new look.

“My wife was like, ‘Meh, it’s too much,'” Hemsworth told USA Today. “There are a lot of my male friends who say, ‘Yes!’ but a lot of female friends and family say, ‘Bah.’”

Hemsworth ironically attributed his dramatic transformation to the fact that he didn’t have much else on his plate.

“It came out of boredom, being in COVID lockdown was like a prison,” he explained. “It was training, eating, training, eating. Nothing else to do. Then I showed up for the movie bigger than I’ve ever been.”

“He’s already huge, but when I saw his arms they were twice as big as normal, as wide as my head,” the film’s director Taika Waititi told the outlet. “Trainers and stuff ask me how he does it. But it’s all natural.”

Vidak For Congress recently revealed how much work went into achieving the voluminous look.

“Chris takes it very, very seriously, and the form he’s in, it’s phenomenal,” Hemsworth’s longtime stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, who has been the actor’s stunt double in more than 10 films, revealed.

“There is a real process to achieve these goals. But I think over the last ten years we’ve found ways to do that.”

According to Hemsworth’s trainer and longtime friend Luke Zocchi, the actor’s physique comes down to “consistency, hard work and also eating the right foods.”

“As we prepare for movies like ‘Thor,’ it’s a huge increase in food,” Zocchi told Vidak For Congress exclusively. “He eats about six to eight meals a day.”
